Most organisers piece the day together from entry forms, group chats, paper judging sheets and a spreadsheet that only one person understands. When something changes, everything has to be updated by hand.

Entries that sort themselves
Schools enter online through your event page and independent dancers enter themselves with a guardian’s details where needed. Every entry lands in the right category with its fee, music status and dancer number. Numbers are allocated automatically, with a random draw if you want one, and you set capacity limits and closing dates.
Recalls without the maths
Judges tap dancer numbers on their phones. Marks are tallied against the majority and you see exactly who goes through, with the full working if anyone asks. Recall, criteria scores, ranking and feedback tags are set per category, and finals can be worked out with the skating system with every ordinal shown.
The whole venue runs off one screen
Check-in desk, door scanning, stage calls, MC announcements and the big screen all read from the same running order. Move one block and everyone sees it. Tickets are scanned at the door with duplicates flagged instantly, and no-shows come out of the running order rather than being crossed off.
Results and money, finished properly
Publish results when you are ready, with a protest window if you want one. Certificates go out with the results, and one money screen shows income, fees and payouts, by Stripe or bank transfer, plus a wrap-up checklist so nothing is left open.

What does it cost to build my competition?
Nothing. You can build your whole event for free: categories, entries, judges, running order and tickets. You only choose an event pass when you are ready to take it live.
What does an event pass cost?
£99 for an event pass with MyDanceComp payments, which is 1.5% on payments taken through the platform plus a £1 spectator booking fee. £249 for a standalone pass if you collect entries and money your own way. No subscription.
Can we keep collecting entries ourselves?
Yes. You can type in entries, import them, or collect them through your event page. MyDanceComp payments are optional.
Do judges need training or their own accounts?
No. Judges open a link, enter a PIN, and see big buttons that fit on a phone. Most judges are scoring within a minute of sitting down.
What happens if the venue wifi drops?
Judging, check-in and door scanning keep working offline and sync when the connection returns. You can also print a full paper fallback pack in one click.
Is it tied to a federation?
No. MyDanceComp is independent. Rule packs describe the conventions federations publish in their public rules, and you can adjust every setting yourself.
Can it handle recalls and the skating system?
Yes. Recall heats tally marks against a majority automatically, and finals can be worked out with the skating system, with the full working shown to the scrutineer.
Is MyDanceComp part of My Dance School?
It is a separate product from the same team, with its own site and its own login at mydancecomp.co.uk. You do not need a My Dance School account to use it.
